I still can’t get over the fact that my favorite author passed away. Rest well Gabo and thank you for all your stories.

“If I knew that today would be the last time I’d see you, I would hug you tight and pray the Lord be the keeper of your soul. If I knew that this would be the last time you pass through this door, I’d embrace you, kiss you, and call you back for one more. If I knew that this would be the last time I would hear your voice, I’d take hold of each word to be able to hear it over and over again. If I knew this is the last time I see you, I’d tell you I love you, and would not just assume foolishly you know it already.”

Alright I’m getting sick and tired of all the pro-life and pro-choice stuff that basically just boils down to people smearing each other because obviously their belief is the best and anyone who thinks opposite them is wrong right?
Notice how I said belief there. Because that’s what this whole argument on abortion is about. People’s beliefs. Abortion is an issue caused by whether someone believes it is morally okay or not.
To someone who is Pro-life abortion is amoral. They believe that a person becomes a person at the moment of conception. To them abortion at any stage, at any reason is wrong.
To someone who is Pro-choice abortion is moral. They differ on when a person becomes a person. However they attest to the idea that a woman should have access to safe medical facilities to have the procedure done and not be forced to jump through humiliating hoops to get it done. A woman has control over her own body instead of a law.
As a person with a uterus I have looked at both stances and thought that the solution is simple. If you believe abortion is wrong don’t have one. If you believe abortion is something you want to have done then you should have access to safe medical facilities for that procedure. All this smearing and hate isn’t needed in this world.
I have friends who sit on both sides of this issue but it’s not something that’s going to make us stop being friends. I respect people’s beliefs and I know that this is an issue that people are entitled to have different opinions on. At the end of the day I think people should have control over their own bodies and make choices related to their bodies based on their beliefs.
